Non-hockey fans might better recognize Peter Zezel as one of the background teammates in Youngblood, but 'round these parts he'll be remembered as a core member of the classic '80s Flyers team that lost in the Stanley Cup finals to Edmonton. Zezel died yesterday at age 44.
As a side note Youngblood, I can't say when I last saw the movie, but was the point really that he had to learn to fight to make the NHL? I mean, I remember it being pretty cheesy, but not that outright boneheaded.

That's the old pepper, kid!
Caught a commercial for The Hangover the other day and I thought I heard "Pepper" by the Butthole Surfers. And I like that song.
I'd post the actual video but the ones I've found online all seem to have a glitch in them, which is a shame as I like the video. So SpongeBob and Patrick will have to hold it down.

Ashro Boy

How rad is this Ashley Wood variant cover to the first (?) issue of IDW's Astro Boy Movie Prequel miniseries?
I guess I saw the old-school Astro Boy cartoon a couple times, but I don't really care about the upcoming Astro Boy movie. This painted piece, however, would make a great litho. I like it with the dead space at the top, too.
